unsweetened cocoa powder

baking soda

granulated sugar

cup
brown sugar
packed
1 1/2
cups
salted butter
softened

large eggs

tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2
cups
chocolate chips
(10 oz bag)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda & salt. Set aside.
In a stand mixer (or additional large bowl) beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter until fluffy.
Add eggs & vanilla extract, beat until combined.
Add in flour mixture. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough about 2" apart by rounded tablespoons onto a nonstick cookie sheet. Slightly flatten with a spatula.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cookies are set. Tops may look glossy but cookie should be set.
Let cool for a minute or two on cookie sheet then transfer to wire rack.
Cool completely, store covered.
Notes
Recipe makes 5-6 dozen, depending on size.
