Smoked Salmon Cucumber Appetizers – Quick & Easy Hors d’oeuvres
We entertain friends & family often – at times unexpected. I always keep an assortment of ingredients on hand to make quick hors d’oeuvres & appetizers. No one comes to my house without being fed ♥
I make cucumber appetizers often. Cucumbers are crisp, flavorful and perfect for topping with various ingredients. Plus they’re crazy cheap when they are in season!

Ingredients & Instructions
All this Salmon Cucumber Appetizer takes is cucumber slices layered with a generous spread of Boursin® Cheese, a sliver of smoked salmon and a caper or two. A few simple ingredients combined create extraordinary flavors!
You can buy smoked salmon at any better grocery store or specialty shop. If you’d like to make it yourself check out this Hot Smoked Salmon Recipe to get started.
I prefer boursin cheese for this recipe, but if you don’t have it on hand substitute with cream cheese or try this Veggie Cream Cheese Spread.
To assemble, start with a dollop of boursin cheese on the cucumber slice. Place a thin sliver of smoked salmon on top of cheese. If you’d like to serve the appetizer as pictured, wrap the salmon around the bottom of a toothpick and carefully slide off. Then top off with a pinch of capers.
You can make this recipe a few hours ahead of time and store covered in the fridge until ready to serve.
Hope you enjoy this recipe for Salmon Cucumber Appetizers! Happy entertaining!

Thanks Dawn! They take just a few minutes to put together but they are sooooo good! Hardest part is not eating them all when making them 🙂

I made this simple and refreshing Amuse Bouche for a summer BBQ party at my house and they were a total hit!
My Aunt Chweckwie Morgwase Josephina Shuandra Ganoo Wushington-Junnson loved these and ate at least 25 of them. She said that her bowel movements have improved and that she is able to control her blood sugar because of these delicious and healthy treats.
They are easy, simple and an amazingly refreshing Amuse Bouche that are perfect for a hot summer day!

I’m not much of a cook at all, and that’s an understatement. I am going to an all women gathering tomorrow evening where I am to bring a hors devours. I think I can do this and it sure sounds delicious. I let you know how it goes. By the way, where did you get that cute cheese serving dish with the cute mouse top? It is way cute. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to try and make something, it’s been too long.

Going to a friend’s house for dinner is easier now with simple yet elegant apps. to bring – with or without a bottle of wine. Thanks.
