Have leftover Easter candy to use up? Need a peeps recipe idea? This Chocolate Peanut Butter Peeps Fudge gets made in the microwave in less then 5 minutes! Sweet, creamy, delicious & absolutely effortless – you’ll love this fun peeps dessert!
Peeps Dessert Ideas
I kid you not. This first got written in July. I was cleaning out a snack cabinet and uncovered an ancient archive of Peeps – orange bunnies and white snowmen.
Food does not get thrown away in my house. These peeps were perfectly edible and found themselves a new purpose. Fudge.
Present day, it’s March. A few days after Easter and I find myself staring at 3 packages of peeps. I’m not terribly fond of marshmallows but I can get down with a few peeps. A few. Then enough is enough, and there’s always packages leftover. Each week they get pushed further & further back in the snack cabinet. Into the abyss.
All about that chocolate & marshmallow combo? You’re gonna want to check out these recipes – Smores Brownies + Smores Cookie Bars!
This time I’m jumping straight to the chase. The peeps might not have time to properly age & mature like you would find in a true vintage peep fudge, but I’m sure most of our marshmallow tastes aren’t that discerning.
Ingredients & Instructions
This Peeps Dessert / Peeps Fudge takes about 5 minutes to make and seriously minimal effort.
{ TIP – If you don’t have peeps you can use a cup or two of mini marshmallows. If you don’t have chocolate chips – get to chopping up some of those chocolate Easter bunnies! }
Chop up the peeps. I know, I know. It seems brutal but it needs to be done.
Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine in a bowl, microwave and stir until just melted & combined. Not molten liquid, just melted.
Stir in the butchered peeps and scrape that fudgy goodness into a pan. Into the fridge it goes until it’s set up.
That probably didn’t even take 5 minutes. The hardest part is waiting.
Patience is a virtue.
2 -3 hours later you’ll have yourself an impressive fudge. This Peeps Fudge is firm but soft to bite. It’s rich, chocolate peanut butter goodness with soft bites of pillowy marshmallow. Sweet, creamy, delicious – yum!
I hope enjoy this Peeps Dessert / Peeps Fudge. It’s a fun & tasty way to use up Easter candy that might otherwise end up getting tossed.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Dawn @ Girl Heart Food
What a great idea! I don’t like throwing food away, either, and always love to find new ways to use up stuff that’s floating around the cabinets or fridge. This recipe is even better than the original product! Can’t beat peanut butter and chocolate! Pinning 🙂
Amanda
Thanks Dawn! Yes – waste is a big no-no. Lol – I would eat year old peeps as-is, no problem, but it’s certainly fun (and tastier) to get creative with them!

Thanks Dawn! Hey, now’s the time to grab Peeps – all the Easter candy is 50% – 75% off! I may or may not have bought way too many Cadbury eggs recently lol 🙂
